Wrestlemania 36 Part 2 Review

The second night of Wrestlemania took place on Sunday 5th April at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The first night wasn't too bad so let's see how the second night goes.

The Kick Off Show featured Natalya taking on Liv Morgan. Natalya uses her experience to get the advantage. However, after a few minutes, Morgan manages to get the win. The match wasn't great.
Winner: Liv Morgan

The first match of the night is one that I was really looking forward to seeing: Charlotte Flair challenging Rhea Ripley for the NXT Women's Championship. Charlotte taunts Ripley early on but Ripley hits the Riptide to get a 2 count. This gives her the chance to get the advantage. However, Charlotte injures the left knee and focuses her offence on it. Ripley gets back into it and almost gets Charlotte to submit with a standing cloverleaf. However, in the end, Charlotte gets Ripley to submit to the Figure 8 and become the new NXT Women's Champion, This was a really good match and I'm interested to see how they handle Charlotte on NXT. As for Ripley, she has been awesome over the last year and I'm confident that she'll bounce back.
Winner: Rhea Ripley

The next match is Aleister Black taking on Bobby Lashley. Lashley avoids a moonsault and hits an overhead belly-to-belly suplex to get the advantage. Lashley hits power moves to keep Black down. On Lana's recommendation, Lashley goes for a pear. However, that turns out to be a bad idea as he runs into a Black Mask, which gives Black the win. The match was pretty good and it looks like it's set the foundations for the break up of Lana and Lashley.
Winner: Aleister Black

We now get Otis taking on Dolph Ziggler. Otis uses his weight against Ziggler but Ziggler's quickness quickly gets him the advantage. Otis catapults Ziggler into the turnbuckle and this gives him the opportunity to make a comeback. Otis goes for the caterpillar but Sonya Deville distracts the referee and Ziggler hits a low blow. This prompts Mandy Rose to come out and bitch slap Deville and roll her into the ring. When the referee tries to get Deville out, Rose hits Ziggler with a low blow. Otis then hits the caterpillar and gets the win and the girl. The match wasn't a masterpiece but it was fun to watch.
Winner: Otis

Next is Edge's first singles match in 9 years as he takes on Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing match. Orton disguised himself as a cameraman and he surprises Edge with a RKO. When Edge recovers and the bell rings, Orton hits another RKO and he goes on to dominate the early going. The match goes all over the Performance Center and ends up on top of a trailer. Orton goes for the one man con-chairto but Edge puts Orton him in a choke hold then hits him with the con-chairto to get the win. Except for the beginning and the end, I found this to be a disappointment. The match is the 2nd longest match in Wrestlemania history and it was far too long. This match had a really good build and I feel like the match didn't live up to it.
Winner: Edge

After Ron Gronkowski pins Mojo Rawley to become the 24/7 Champion, we get the RAW Tag Team Championship as AOP Andrade Austin Theory(?) and Angel Garza challenge The Street Profits. After Theory throws Angelo Dawkins out of the ring, Graza super kicks him while the referee is distracted to give his team the advantage. Dawkins avoids a clothesline by Garza to get the hot tag to Montez Ford. In the end, Theory hits a TKO on Dawkins but Ford breaks up the pin by hitting a frog splash. Dawkins then pins Theory to get the win. Garza, Theory and Zelina Vega don't take the loss well and beat up The Street Profits. This prompts Bianca Belair to come out and make the save.This was a fun match to watch.

The next match is a Fatal 5-Way Elimination Match for the Smackdown Women's Championship as Lacey Evans, Naomi, Sasha Banks and Tamina challenge Bayley. The first woman to be eliminayed is Tamina as they all team up to pin her. Banks gets Naomi to submit to the Banks Statement but she gets eliminated thanks to a Women's Right by Evans. In the end, Banks returns and hits Evans with the back stabber. Bayley follows that up with the Rose Plant to get the win. The match was pretty decent.
Winner: Bayley

The penultimate is a Firefly House Match between John Cena and Bray Wyatt. The basic story of the match is Wyatt referencing parts of his and Cena's wrestling history such as his debut against Kurt Angle and Cena being the Doctor of Thuganomics, and Wyatt's gimmick when he debuted on the main roster. We then get a NwO reference as Cena then attacks Wyatt. Wyatt turns into a puppet and The Fiend then hits Sister Abigail and technically pins Cena to get the win...? This was batshit insane and it was fun to watch in a way. It was also quite thought provoking if you really look at it and probablyt the most unique thing that WWE have ever done. I think that this would have been a disaster if Cena wasn't involved. I don't think where both guys go on from here but I'm interested to see what happens.
Winner: Bray Wyatt

The main event is Drew McIntyre challenging Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship. McIntyre hits the Claymore Kick almost immediately to get a 2 count. Lesnar goes to hit 3 German suplexes and a F-5 but McIntyre kicks out at 1. Lesnar hits 2 more F-5s but McIntyre kicks out each time. McIntyre goes on to hit 3 Claymore Kicks to get the win. This match wasn't great as it was just finishers and suplexes and it had the same format as the Strowman/Goldberg match from the night before. Having said that, McIntyre is the first Scotsman to become the WWE Champion and, as a fellow Scotsman, I'm really happy for him.
Winner: Drew McIntyre

I thought that Wrestlemania was pretty decent over the two nights. The circumstances surrounding the event did lead to some things that you couldn't do with a live crowd. However, there are some great moments in the event that are hurt because of the lack of crowd reaction. That's quite sad. As for the foreseeable future, Florida have issued a stay-at-home order (finally!) yet WWE have taped some shows and are planning to have their Money in the Bank event in May. I'm quite torn that the WWE are still doing some shows but I don't think they should be building to another PPV. Let's see how they will handle it.

Wrestlemania 36 Part 1 Review

The first night of Wrestlemania 36 took place at the Raymond James...wait, sorry. I meant the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Not only has the Coronavirus pandemic led to the event taking place in an empty arena, but the sickness of some superstars and the fucking stupidity of another has led to some matches having to be changed. To be honest, I can see this being a fucking disaster. Anyway, let's take a look.

During all this, they decided to have a Kick Off Show, which was Cesaro taking on Drew Gulak. Early on, Gulak tries to put on some submission holds and focuses on the right arm. Cesaro tries to hit the Neutraliser but his injured arm prevents him from doing so. Gulak almost runs into the referee and this gives Cesaro to hit an European Uppercut followed by an airplane spin, with no hands, to get the win. I enjoyed the technical side of the match but I generally found the story a bit weird. I'm still getting used to Gulak being a face and it was surprising to see him be so dominant only for Cesaro to seemingly get the win out of the blue. Having said that, I thought the airplane spin with no hands was pretty impressive.
Winner: Cesaro

The first match of the weekend was for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship as Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross challenge The Kabuki Warriors. Asuka and Kairi Sane are cocky towards Bliss in the beginning and they go on to get the advantage after Asuksa hits a roundhouse kick to Cross. Eventually, Bliss gets the hot tag but it doesn't last long as The Kabuki Warriors reassert their dominance. Cross gets tagged in and hits the Fisherman's Neckbreaker to Asuka but Sane breaks up the pin with an Insane Elbow. Sane and Asuka come close a couple of times but in the end, Sane gets hit with another Fisherman's Neckbreaker by Cross followed by a Twisted Bliss by Bliss and they go on to regain the Championship. I thought this was a good match and hopefully, WWE will start to give more of a fuck about the Women's Tag Team Championship.
Winners: Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross

The next match is supposed to be Elias taking on King Corbin. Corbin is convinced that, after throwing him off a platform the week before, Elias won't be able to take part. However, Elias does turn up and is dominant to begin with before Corbin sends him flying to the floor. Elias sends Crobin into the corner, giving him the chance to make a comeback. Corbin tries to use the ropes while pinning Elias but the referee sees it and admonishes him. While Crobin continues to argue with her, Elias rolls him up and gets the win. I didn't think this was a great match.
Winner: Elias

We get the RAW Women's Championship match as Shayna Baszler challenges "The Man" Becky Lynch. Baszler goes for the Kirifuda Clutch early on but Lynch gets out of it. That doesn't deter Baszler as she is relentless and gets the advantage. In the end, Baszler manages to apply the Kirifuda Clutch but Becky rolls over and manages to pin her and get the win. To be honest, I didn't expect Lynch to win as I was convinced that Baszler would win. However, thy just used the same ending that Baszler had against Kairi Sane. Hopefully, they might be saving her victory for when they can host a Pay-Per-View in front of a crowd. As for the match itself, I thought it was pretty good.

The next match is for the Intercontinental Championship as Daniel Bryan challenge Sami Zayn. Zayn delays wrestling Bryan for as long as possible with help from Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura. Drew Gulak takes them out, giving Bryan the chance to wrestle Zayn. In the end, Nakamura and Cesaro attack Gulak and Bryan goes to help him out. Bryan then goes for a move off the turnbuckle but Zayn counters with apparently a Helluva Kick to get the win. The match was ok but I feel that they could have done better.
Winner: Sami Zayn

We now get a triple threat ladder match for the Smackdown Tag Team Championship. Thanks to The Miz being sick, it will be Kofi Kingston from The New Day and Jimmy Uso challenging John Morrison. Highlights of the match include: Kingston vaulting through a ladder, only to be caught and thrown out of the ring; Morrison hitting a crokscrew ladder onto Uso; and Kingston hitting a hurracarrana, sending Morrison off a ladder. In the end, they are all on ladder and they manage to get the hook containing the belts, each of them having a hand on it. Kingston and Uso headbutt Morrison off the ladder. However, he had a hand on the belts and he falls to the mat with them, technically making him the winner. I thought this was a really good match and I really liked the ending.
Winner: John Morrison

Next is the Monday Night Messiah Seth Rollins taking on Kevin Owens. The match goes back and forth before Rollins reverse a powerbomb to back body drop Owens onto the apron. Rollins follows up with a falcon arrow onto the apron. Owens gets back into it and Rollins ends up hitting him with the ring bell to get himself disqualified. Owens manage to convince Rollins to return and make the match no disqualification. Owens goes on to hit Rollins with the ring bell then hits a senton from the Wrestlemania sign, sending Rollins through the announce table. Owens then rolls Rollins back into the ring and hits the Stunner to get the win. I thought this was a decent match, although it would made more sense if it started as a no disqualification match.
Winner: Kevin Owens

The penultimate match is for the Universal Championship as Braun Strowman challenges Goldberg. Goldberg hits 4 spears then goes for a Jackhammer. However, Strowman reverses it into a powerslam. He then hits 2 more powerslams then a running powerslam to get the win. Wow. Due to Roman Reigns pulling out, I thought that Goldberg would retain. I'm happy that Strowman won but the match wasn't great and I feel that Strowman will be a transitional Champion.
Winner: Braun Strowman

The main event of the night is a Boneyard Match between AJ Styles and The Undertaker. Some of the highlights include: Styles arriving in a coffin on the back of a hearse; Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows helping Styles out; Styles spearing Undertaker through a fence; and Undertaker using his parlor tricks such as teleportation and shooting columns of fire on top of a barn roof. After Undertaker takes out Gallows and Anderson, he chokeslams Styles off the barn roof. He then drags him to the empty grave prepared earlier and big boots him into it. Undertaker then uses a tractor to bury Styles and technically win...? He then rides off into the night. This was weird but quite fun to watch. Some of it was riduclous but I think that was the point. Hopefully, this will be the last of The Undertaker. As for Styles, I guess he's dead now.
Winner: The Undertaker

I thought that the first night of Wrestlemania was pretty decent. Some matches could have been better but a couple of quite good, especially the ladder match. Let's see how the second night goes.

Wrestlemania 35 Review

Wrestlemania 35 took place on Sunday 7th April at the Metlife Stadium in New York. There are SIXTEEN matches on the card plus we will get to see the first ever women's main event. Let's take a look at the biggest show of the year.

There were 4 matches on the Kick Off Show and the first one is for the Cruiserweight Championship as Tony Nese challenges Buddy Murphy. The match starts at 100 miles an hour before Murphy bounces Nese onto the turnbuckle. Nese gets back in control when he hits a brutal German suplex. Nese goes for the running knee but Murphy hits a knee followed by Murphy's Law. However, Nese manages to get his foot on the ropes. In the end, Nese hits a German suplex followed by the running knee to get the win...Wait, what? Ok, I did not see that coming. The match was pretty decent between the two. I'm still getting used to seeing Nese as a babyface and I just couldn't see him being the Cruiserweight Champion. Despite that, I hope that he has a good title reign.
Winner: Tony Nese (0 for 1)

The next match is the Women's Battle Royal. Taking part were: Dana Brooke, Mickie James, Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, Sarah Logan, Asuka, Carmella, Naomi, Lana, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Zelina Vega, Maria Kanellis, Ember Moon, Kairi Sane, Candice Le Rae and Nikki Cross. Kanellis is the first to be eliminated thanks to Cross. Ember Moon goes for the Eclipse on Deville, but she gets eliminated by Lana, which pissed off the crowd. The Riott Squad team up to eliminate Lana and Sane before Brooke eliminates Riott and Morgan. The final 5 end up being: Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Asuka, Mickie James and Sarah Logan. James eliminates Rose but she then gets eliminated by Deville. Asuka eliminates Deville and Logan eliminates Asuka to win the match. No, wait, hang on. Carmella suddenly appears out of nowhere and it turns out she hasn't been eliminated. Logan ends up on the apron and Carmella superkicks her off to the floor to get the win. The match was ok but I have no idea what happened to Carmella during the match. The commentators didn't mention it and it wasn't shown in the replays. Even though Carmella is a face, this makes it a tainted win for me and that's unfortunate.
Winner: Carmella (0 for 2)

Next is Zack Ryder and Kurt Hawkins challenging The Revival for the RAW Tag Team Championship. The Revival spend the early part of the match mocking Hawkins over his losing streak. Ryder tries to crossbody Dash Wilder but Scott Dawson pulls him out of the way and Ryder goes flying to the floor. This gives The Revival the opportunity to wear down Ryder. Ryder back bodydrops Dawson and he manages to tag in Hawkins. The match goes to the outside and Dawson hits Hawkins with a beautiful brain buster to the floor. Dawson rolls Hawkins back in but Hawkins suddenly pins him with a small package to get the win...Wait, seriously? Hawkins ends his 269 match losing streak and, along with Ryder, becomes the new RAW Tag Team Champions?! The match was pretty good. I'm pissed that The Revival lost, especially to a small package out of nowhere. Having said that, it did create a nice Wrestlemania(ish) moment for Ryder and Hawkins.
Winners: Zack Ryder and Kurt Hawkins (0 for 3)

The Kick Off Main Event is the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Taking part were: Michael Che  and Colin Yost from Saturday Night Live, Braun Strowman, Apollo Crews, Titus O'Neil, Tyler Breeze, Jinder Mahal, No Way Jose, Bobby Roode, Chad Gable, Kalisto, Gran Metalik, Lince Dorado, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel, Heath Slater, Rhyno, Konnor, Viktor, Andrade, Ali, Shelton Benjamin, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Otis, Tucker and EC3. As soon as the match starts, Che and jost hide under the ring and we can get a fuck load of eliminations before Strowman gets ganged up on. Gallows sends Strowman into the ring post and to the floor but not over the top rope. The final 5 in the ring end up being: Andrade, Apollo Crews, The Hardys and Braun Strowman. In a dumb move, Andrade eliminates Apollo Crews and himself with a hurracarrana. While Strowman is trying to eliminate The Hardys, Che and Jost reappear and try to eliminate Strowman. Strowman deals with it and eliminates The Hardys. Jost tries to use a therapist to appeal to Strowman. However, Strowman kills the therapist then eliminates Che. He then chucks Jost to a pile of wrestlers on the outside to get the win. The match was more fun to watch than I thought it would be and I quite enjoyed it.
Winner: Braun Strowman (0 for 4)

Wrestlemania starts with a segment involving the host of Wrestlemania Alexa Bliss and that racist piece of shit Hulk Hogan. It ends with Paul Heyman storming to the ring and announcing that because Brock Lesnar is not going on last, he might as well have his match now. So, the first match of the show is Seth Rollins challenging Brock Lesnar  for the Universal Championship. Brock attacks Rollins as he enters the ring and beats the fuck out of him. The bell finally rings to start the match and Lesnar continues his assault, hitting 3 German suplexes. When Lesnar goes for the F5, Rollins gets out of it, pushes him into the referee and hits a low blow. Rollins then hits 3 Curb Stomps to get the win and become the new Universal Champion. I was surprised at how short it was but it was a pretty decent match and it would be nice to see a full time Champion on RAW.
Winner: Seth Rollins (1 for 5)

Next is AJ Styles taking on Randy Orton. Orton gets the advantage with a thumb to the eye followed by a dropkick. Styles gets back into it and applies the calf crusher but Orton gets to the ropes. Orton manages to hit the RKO but Styles kicked out. In the end, Orton goes for another RKO but Styles stops it and hits a Phemonenal Forearm to get the win. The match was ok, nothing special.
Winner: AJ Styles (1 for 6)

After another pointless Lacey Evans walk on, we get our next match, which is a Fatal 4-Way Match for the Smackdown Tag Team Championship. Champions The Usos facing the challenges of Ricochet and Aleister Black, The Bar and Shinsuke Nakamura and Rusev. Highlights of the match include: Cesaro hitting a giant swing on Ricochet while Sheamus punches the fuck out of everyone else; Ricochet breking up a pin with a shooting star press; and everyone but Black doing a tower of doom and Ricochet managing to survive it. In the end, The Usos hit Sheamus with a double splash to get the win. This was quite a good match with a few cool spots.
Winners: The Usos (2 for 7)

After we see the Hall of Fame Class of 2019, we get a Falls Count Anywhere Match between Hollywood Miz and Shane McMahon.  McMahon gets the early advantage and is about to elbow drop Miz through the announce table when his father gets in the way. McMahon then starts beating him, prompting Miz to defend his father. The fight goes into the crowd and into the row of international announcers. Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale in the tech area yet Shane kicked out. In the end, Miz suplexes McMahon off the scaffolding, knocking them both out. However, McMahon has his arm on top of Miz and pins him to get the win. The wrestling wasn't great but it was fun enough to keep me entertained.
Winner: Shane McMahon (2 for 8)

The next match is for the Women's Tag Team Championship as the teams of Nia Jax and Tamina, Beth Phoenix and Natalya and The IIonics  challenge Sasha Banks and Bayley in a Fatal 4-Way Match. Tamina beats attacking the other competitors before Sasha Banks is worn down by Billie Kay and Peyton Royce. Other highlights of the match include: Beth Phoenix suplexing the IIonics; Sasha putting Beth in the Banks Statement; Natalya putting both Sasha and Bayley in the Sharpshooter; and Beth getting hit with a Macho Man elbow drop by Bayley followed by a frog splash by Sasha. Beth hits Bayley with a Glam Slam from the top rope. However, she isn't aware that Billie made the tag on her. When Beth goes for the cover, Peyton pulls her off and Billie pins Bayley to get the win. The match was pretty decent and I'm so happy for Billie and Peyton getting the win. They have been  fun to watch since NXT and I can't wait to see how their title reign goes.
Winners: The IIonics (3 for 9)

Next is Kofi Kingston challenging "The New" Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship. After some back and forth, Bryan avoids a springboard splash to the outside by Kofi and he crashes onto the announce table.  Bryan hits a few running dropkicks in the corner then almost folds Kofi in half with a Boston Crab. Kofi gets back into it and hits the SOS but Bryan applies the LeBell Lock. Bryan goes to the outside and Rowan stops Kofi from going after him. This leads to an altercation between Rowan the rest of The New Day and he is taken out with the Midnight Hour. Back in the ring, Bryan hits the running knee but Kofi kicks out. Bryan again applies the LeBell Lock but Kofi powers out of it. Kofi then hits Trouble in Paradise to get the win. This match was really good and I'm so happy that Kofi won, being the first African wrestler to become WWE Champion.
Winner: Kofi Kingston (4 for 10)

The next match is Rey Mysterio challenging Samoa Joe for the United States Championship. Joe doesn't fuck around at the beginning. However, Msyterio hits a DDT and the 619. Joe then puts Mysterio in the Coquina Clutch and Mysterio passes out, giving Joe the win. This match was less than 5 minutes long, which was a disappointment. Having said that, Mysterio was carrying an injury so I suspect that it would have longer.
Winner: Samoa Joe (5 for 11)

We now get Drew McIntyre taking on Roman Reigns. McIntyre headbutts Reigns to get the advantage. After getting thrown from the top rope, Reigns makes his comeback with punches and kicks. Reigns then hits a Superman punch followed by a spear to get the win. The match was pretty decent.
Winner: Roman Reigns (6 for 12)

After a segment involving Elias and John Cena, we get Batista taking on Triple H in a no holds barred match with Triple H's career on the line. During the match they use a tool box, chains, pilers, a steel chair, the steel steps and a sledeghammer.  Also during the match, Triple H pulls out Batista's nose ring and spears him through the German announce table. Batista manages to hit the Batista Bomb but Triple H kicked out. Triple H powerbombs Batista onto the steel steps followed by a Pedigree, but Batista kicked out. In the end, Ric Flair arrives and gives Triple H another sledgehammer. Triple H then hits Batista with it then hits another Pedigree to get the win. The match was ok and this was the longest match on the show. I really think it could have been shorter, especially when it involves two guys that are round 50.
Winner: Triple H (7 for 13)

We now get the end of an era as Kurt Angle has his farewell match against Baron Corbin. Angle hits a overhead belly-to-belly suplex and 3 German suplexes in the early going. Angle goes for the Angle Slam but Corbin gets out of it and hits Deep Six for 2. Angle hits the Angle Slam but Corbin kicks out. Angle then applies the Ankle Lock but Corbin manages to send him into the corner. Angle goes for the moonsault but misses and Corbin then hits End of Days to get the win. The match was very short but it was quite good.
Winner: Baron Corbin (7 for 14)

The penultimate match is for the Intercontinental Championship as Finn Balor in Demon Mode challenges Bobby Lashley. Balor goes after Lashley before he gets hit with a spine buster. When Balor starts to get back into it, Lio Rush distracts him allowing Lashley to spear him off the apron to the floor. In the end, Balor powerbombs Lashley then hits the Coup de Grace to get the win and become the new Intercontinental Champion. The match was quite good.
Winner: Finn Balor (8 for 15)

After R-Truth and Carmella do a dance break, we finally get our main event. A triple threat match between Ronda Rousey, Charlotte Flair and "The Man" Becky Lynch for both the RAW and Smackdown Women's Championships. Ronda is absolutely dominant to begin with and later on, she has Charlotte in an armbar over the ropes. Becky hits her with a dropkick, and Ronda lands brutally on the floor. Other highlights during the match include: Becky putting Charlotte in the Dis-Arm HerCharlotte hitting a double natural selection on both women; Becky hitting a Bex-ploder from the top rope on Charlotte; and Ronda putting both guys in an armbar. Charlotte manages to put Ronda in the Figure 8 but Becky breaks that up with a leg drop from the top rope. After Charlotte gets throwin onto a table in the corner, Ronda goes to hit Piper's Pit on Becky. However, Becky reverses it into a crucifix pin to get the win even though Ronda's shoulder goes up during the count.

I thought this was a good, fun match although the ending was slightly botched. From what I read, it seemed that it was a mistake on Ronda's part. The fact that WWE didn't make a big deal of it after the match does seem to prove that. As for Becky, I guess she will defend both belts for the foreseeable future.
Winner: Becky Lynch (9 for 16)

I thought that, despite a few surprising results, Wrestlemania was quite a good show. The main criticism of it is that it is far too long. This finished at after half past midnight local time and that's insane to me. I get that it's their biggest event of the year but hopefully they will make it a bit shorter next year.

WWE Wrestlemania 35 Preview

The Showcase of the Immortals, Wrestlemania 35, will be taking place this evening at the Metlife Stadium in New York. There are a...fuck load of matches on the card and we will see the women main event the show for the first time. So, let's take a look.

Women's Battle Royal

I love Daniel Bryan> However, there will be no way that Kofi will lose this. He has been put through so many unnecessary obstacles by Mr McMahon because of racism...? If Bryan wins this, it will be a massive "fuck you" by WWE to the fans.

Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair vs "The Man" Becky Lynch
Triple Threat Match for the RAW and Smackdown Women's Championship
One of the unnecessarily convoluted storylines in recent history will come to a head as we see the women main event Wrestlemania for the first time. I can see Charlotte winning but I think it will be insane if that happens. I'm going for Becky to win.

WWE Wrestlemania 34 Review

Wrestlemania 34 took place on Sunday 8th April at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. The card looks pretty good with a couple of dream matches so, let's take a look.

The first match on the Kick Off Show is the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal with the following taking part: Aiden English, Konnor, Curt Hawkins, R-Truth, Primo Colon, Mike Kanellis,  Viktor, Zack Ryder, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows,  Shelton Benjamin,Heath Slater, Rhyno, "Woken" Matt Hardy, Dash Wilder, Scott Dawson, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel, Sin Cara, Tyler Breeze, Fandango, Chad Gable, Apollo, Titus O'Neil, Goldust, Tye Dillinger, Dolph Ziggler, Kane, Mojo Rawley and Baron Corbin. English is the first to be eliminated and Ziggler spends the whole match getting out of being eliminated before Kane throws him out. The final 3 end up being Hardy, Rawley and Corbin. Crobin and Rawley beat up Hardy before Bray Wyatt appears and helps Hardy to get the win. This match wasn't anything special for me.
Winner: "Woken" Matt Hardy (0 for 1)

The second match is a match that should have been on the main card: Cedric Alexander taking on Mustafa Ali for the vacant Cruiserweight Championship. The match is a back and forth affair throughout. Ali goes for the 450 Splash but Alexander pulls him off, sending him crashing to the floor. Eventually, Alexander hits the Lumber Check to get the win. This was a really good match and well done to Cedric Alexander on becoming Cruiserwieght Champion. 
Winner: Cedric Alexander (1 for 2)

The main event of the Kick Off Show was the Women's Battle Royal involving: Carmella, Dana Brooke, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Kairi Sane, Naomi, Lana, Kavita Devi, Taynara Conti, Bianca Belair, Dakota Kai, Becky Lynch, Mickie James, Peyton Royce, Natalya, Liv Morgan, Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan, Sasha Banks and Bayley. Carmella is the first to be eliminated as all the other women gang up on her. The Riott Squad team up to eliminate a few of the women and we also see Bel Air use her hair to whip Lynch. Bayley and Sasha team up to eliminate Natalya and the Riott Squad. Bayley then thinks she's won after eliminating Sasha. However, Naomi reappears as she never got eliminated. Naomi then eliminates Bayley to get the win. This was quite an entertaining match although the ending was a bit confusing as we assumed that Naomi was eliminated.
Winner: Naomi (1 for 3)

The first match of Wrestlemania was Seth Rollins and Finn Balor challenge Hollywood Miz in a triple threat match for the Intercontinental Championship.The match starts at at fast pace with one highlight being Rollins doing multiple suicide dives. Miz puts Balor in the Figure 4 but Rollins hits a splash to break it up. Each one of them has a chance to win it, including Miz getting close with a Skull Crushing Finale. In the end, Balor hits a Coup de Grace on Miz but Rollins hits Balor with a Curb Stomp. Rollins then hits Miz with a Curb Stomp to get the win. This was a really good match between all of them and a great way to start the show.
Winner: Seth Rollins (1 for 4)

The next match is one that I'm really looking forward to: Asuka challenging Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women's Championship. Charlotte injures her right shoulder during the match and Asuka takes advantage of that. Asuka has a chance to win it when she reverses a moonsault into a triangle choke but Charlotte gets out of it. They both use awesome moves to try and get the win such as Cahrlotte hitting a Spanish fly. Charlotte eventually gets Asuka into the Figure 8 and Asuka submits...? Wait, what? Asuka lost? Ok, I did not see that coming. Afterwards, Asuka congratulates Charlotte.

This match was brilliant and it's one of the best women's matches ever seen at Wrestlemania. Both women raised their game and you could either one of them winning. I was shocked that Asuka lost but I suppose they can do more with her without the streak. I would have loved her to continue and slowly develop into the heel that we saw hints of in NXT. Ah well, I guess it wasn't to be. As for Charlotte, she stays Champion for two more days before Carmella successfully cashes in her Money in the Bank briefcase.
Winner: Charlotte (1 for 5)

We now get a Fatal 4-Way Match for the United States Championship as Jinder Mahal, Bobby Roode and Rusev. Highlights of the match include: Orton doing a superplex on Roode; and Orton hitting RKOs to Aiden English, Rusev and Mahal. In the end, Rusev is about to put Mahal in The Accolade when Sunil Singh distracts him. This gives Mahal the chance to hit The Kahless to get the win. I thought the match was pretty decent and I'm gutted that Rusev didn't win on Rusev Day.
Winner: Jinder Mahal (1 for 6)

Next we get to see the debut of Ronda Rousey as she teams up with Kurt Angle to take on Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Triple H sends Angle over the ropes to get the advantage. Stephanie helps out at every opportunity, including pulling Rousey off the apron. Eventually, Rousey gets tagged in and she proceeds to fuck Stephanie up. However, Stephanie gets back into it with a DDT. The match goes back and forth before Rousey puts Stephanie into a brutal armbar to get the win by submission. This match was a lot of fun although I feel that it should have ended a few minutes earlier.
Winners: Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle (2 for 7)

We now get our first Tag Team Championship match as The New Day and The Bludgeon Brothers challenge The Usos for the Smackdown Tag Team Championship. Harper and Rowan are completely dominant before The Usos focus their attack on Harper. In the end, Harper hits a sit down powerbomb from the top turnbuckle to get the win. This match was surprisingly short and I did not expect The Bludgeon Brothers to win. Despite that, it was a fun match.
Winners: The Bludgeon Brothers (2 for 8)

Next was supposed to be John Cena taking on The Undertaker. Cena had been in the crowd watching the show as a fan. After the Asuka/Charlotte match, a referee goes to speak to Cena and he runs to the back. Cena comes out and instead of The Undertaker, Elias comes out and does a musical segment. After Cena beats him up and is about to leave, The Undertaker's music hits. Ok, guess we're having the match after all. Pretty much, Undertaker goes through his move set and, despite Cena hitting one move, goes on to win with a Tombstone.

I thought the whole thing was stupid. I found it hard to believe that Cena couldn't get a match at Wrestlemania and then he gets squashed. It felt like a waste of time to me.
Winner: The Undertaker (3 for 9)

After we see the Hall of Fame Class of 2018, we get the return of Daniel Bryan as he teams up with Shane McMahon to take on Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. Owens and Zayn do a sneak attack and beat up Bryan. While he is getting medical attention, Shane starts the match by himself. Zayn and Owens quickly get the advantage, focusing on Shane's stomach. Owens hits a frog splash but Bryan, out of nowhere,  breaks up the pin and eventually gets tagged in. Zayn and Owens hit their finishers but it's not enough as Bryan gets Zayn to submit to the Yes Lock to get the win. I thought the match was pretty decent and it was nice to see Bryan wrestle again.
Winners: Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan (4 for 10)

We now get our second Women's Championship as Nia Jax challenges Alexa Bliss for the RAW Women's Championship. Nia completely fucks up Mickie James before the bell to prevent her from interfering. When the bell rings, Nia throws Alexa round like a rag doll before she gets poked in the eye. This gives Alexa the chance to attack the knee. Alexa hits a Twisted Bliss to the outside and a DDT but it doesn't keep Nia down. In the end, Nia hits a Samoan Drop from the 2nd rope to get the win. This was another fun match to watch.
Winner: Nia Jax (5 for 11)

Now a match that I'm really looking forward to: Shinsuke Nakamura challenging AJ Styles for the WWE Championship. Nakamura has the advantage for a little bit, attacking Styles with knee strikes. Styles reverses a suplex to get back some momentum. Nakamura hits a reverse exploder suplex then goes for the Kinshasa. However, Styles manages to reverse it into a Styles Clash to get the win. Afterwards, Nakamura congratulates Styles by hitting a low blow then a Kinshasa, turning heel in the process. The match was pretty good, although I feel that it could have been better.
Winner: AJ Styles (5 for 12)

The penultimate match is for the RAW Tag Team Championship as Cesaro and Sheamus deal with the challenge of Braun Strowman and... Yeah, Strowman decides to go into the crowd and pick a boy named Nicholas. Anyway, Strowman eventually gets worn down and Cesaro and Sheamus but he manages to tag in Nicholas. Nicholas understandably tags back Strowman and he hits Cesaro with a Running Powerslam to get the win. The match was stupid but it was fun. Unfortunately, due to Nicholas (who actually is the son of referee John Cone) having to go through 8 more years of school, they had to vacate the Championship.
Winners: Braun Strowman and Nicholas (6 for 13)

The main event is for the Universal Championship as Roman Reigns challenges Brock Lesnar. The match starts at a fast pace with Lesnar hitting 3 German suplexes before Reigns responds with multiple Superman punches. Lesnar goes on to hit three F5s but Reigns kicks out each time. Lesnar hits a F5, sending Reigns through the German announce table then another one in the ring but Reigns kicks out. Lesnar busts Reigns open and, despite Reigns hitting 2 spears, hits a sixth F5 to get the win. The match was enjoyable to begin with then it became boring with finishers being used for spots. Lesnar winning was a surprise but I assume that Reigns will win it in the near future.
Winner: Brock Lesnar (6 for14)

I thought that Wrestlemania was bit of a mixed bag. There were some really good matches with some surprising results. However, there were some matches that were just stupid and it bought the event down for me. Hopefully, with both brands being involved in every Pay-Per-View from now on, the standard should improve.

WWE Wrestlemania 34 Preview

The biggest event of the year, Wrestlemania, will be taking place this evening at the Mercedes Benz Superdome in New Orleans. There are FOURTEEN matches on the card so be prepared for hours of wrestling. Let's look at the card.

The Women's Battle Royal
There are 3 matches on the Kick Off Show and this was named after Fabulous Moolah. Unfortunately, everyone found out that she was possibly the worst person ever in pro wrestling so that was dropped. Anyway, Sasha Banks and Bayley are the only ones going in with any story so they will probably be the final two. I'm going for Bayley to win.

There are 29 people confirmed to take part and Apollo seems to be the favourite so yeah, why not?

Ignoring the fact that this shouldn't be on the Kick Off Show, this should be a good match. Cedric has a Champion in waiting for months now and I feel that it's his time.

John Cena vs The Undertaker  (maybe?)
This story behind this is stupid because I find it hard to believe that a 16-time World Champion and Hollywood actor thinks that he can't get a match at Wrestlemania. Anyway, I don't want Undertaker to turn up but I think that he will and beat Cena.

Hopefully, this match isn't too long and I'm going for Reigns to win. Yay, I guess.

WWE Hall of Fame Class 2018

Tonight the WWE will be inducting their Hall of Fame Class of 2018. There are some really good choices and one and two that seem to have come from left field. Here are the inductees.

Mark Henry
Mark Henry represented the United States in weightlifting in the 1995 Pan American Games and the 1996 Summer Olympics. His time in WWE had him as a member of the Nation of Domination and later on, as Sexual Chocolate Mark Henry. He is most recently remembered as a monstrous heel who put people in "The Hall of Fame"; and beating Randy Orton to become World Heavyweight Champion in 2011. Mark will be inducted by The Big Show.

Kid Rock
The Detroit native broke through in the 90's with songs such as "Cowboy". He went to provide songs for some of the WWE Superstars such as Undertaker and Stacy Kleiber.

Hillbilly Jim
Hillbilly Jim joined the WWE in 1984 with his unique look of dungarees and a straw hat. After retiring in the 90's, he went to manage Henry and Phineas Goodwin to a World Tag Team Championship. Fans of the Attitude Era will remember him taking in the gimmick battle royal in Wrestlemania X-7. He will be inducted by legendary manager Jimmy Hart

Jarrius "JJ" Johnson
Even though the lifelong WWE fan is only 15 years old, he has already had 2 liver transplants due to biliary atresia. His courage has led to him receiving honours from the New Orleans Saints and the NBA. He was also the winner of the Jimmy V Preservance Award at the 2017 ESPYs.

Ivory
After being part of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, Ivory made her WWE debut in 1999 being in the corner of Mark Henry and D'Lo Brown. In the Women's Division, in a time when it was more about bra and panties than actual wrestling, Ivory was a standout, eventually becoming Women's Champion while part of Right of Censor. Ivory went on to be a trainer on Tough Enough. she will be inducted by Molly Holly.

The Dudley Boyz
Bubba Ray and D-Von started out in ECW, winning their Tag Team Championship 8 times. Soon after joining the WWE in 1999, they developed an unhealthy obession with putting people through tables such as Mae Young and Trish Stratus. They had some amazing matches with The Hardy Boyz and Edge and Christian before continuing their success as Team 3D in TNA. They will be inducted by Edge and Christian.

Jeff Jarrett
Holy shit, I did not see this one coming. Jeff Jarrett spent time in WCW and WWE during the 90's most as a lower mid-carder. His last run in WWE ended acrimoniously in 1999 when he demanded extra money in order to drop the Intercontinental Championship to Chyna at No Mercy. He went to be the top heel in WCW during the Ruzzo Era, winning the WCW Championship 4 times in the space of a few months. Jeff went on to found TNA, in which AJ Styles, Bobby Roode and Samoa Joe had successful careers. He will be inducted by Road Dogg Jesse James.

Goldberg
Goldberg is best known for his streak of 173 matches in WCW, becoming WCW Champion and United States Champion in the process. He was a refreshing change to the fans, who were getting sick of people like Hulk Hogan. His first stint in WWE was only a year but he faced The Rock and Triple H, becoming World Heavyweight Champion. Recently, he became Universal Champion and had matches with Brock Lesnar. Goldberg will be inducted by Paul Heyman

WWE Fastlane 2018 Review

WWE Fastlane 2018, the last Pay-Per-View before Wrestlemania, took place on Sunday 11th March at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. Will the event throw up some surprises or will it be in a holding pattern before Wrestlemania? let's take a look.

The match on the Kick Off Show is the team of Breezango and Tye Dillinger taking on Chad Gable, Shelton Benjamin and Mojo Rawley. After a little comedy, Gable hits an awesome monkey flip on Breeze to give his team the advantage. Breeze hits an enzurgi on Rawley, giving him the chance to tag in Dillinger. Dillinger goes on to get the win for his team after hitting Rawley with a knee to the side of the head. This was a good match, although there were some obvious botches.
Winners: Breezango and Tye Dillinger (N/A)

The first match of the show was Shinsuke Nakamura taking on Rusev. Rusev takes out Nakamura while he was getting back into the ring to get the advantage. He continues to wear his opponent down but Nakamura makes a comeback with kicks to the head. Rusev comes close a couple of times, but in the end, Nakamura hits the Kinsasha to get the win. I enjoyed this match and it was a fun way to start the show. Shame Rusev had to lose on Rusev Day.
Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura (1 for 1)

We now get our first Championship match as Randy Orton challenges Bobby Roode for the United States Championship. Orton tries to hit a RKO a couple of times but Roode avoids them. After some back and forth, Orton comes close after a hitting a superkick. Roode tries a move from the top rope but Orton hits a Super RKO to become the new Unites States Champion. Afterwards, Jinder Mahal attacks Orton and Roode gives them Glorious DDTs. Whilst I'm not happy that Orton, I really enjoyed this match.
Winner: Randy Orton (1 for 2)

The next match is Naomi and Becky Lynch taking on Carmella and Natalya. Naomi goes for a split-legged moonsault on Natalya but she is distracted by Carmella. This gives Natalya the chance to hit a sit down powerbomb. After a while, Naomi gets out of a suplex and she gets the hot tag to Becky. Becky almost gets the win with a top rope legdrop. However, it was in vain as Becky stops Natalya from giving Carmella the Money in the Bank briefcase and she gets advantage of the distraction to hit a brutal kick to Becky to get the win. This was a good, yet short match.
Winners: Carmella and Natalya (2 for 3)

Now a match that I was really looking forward to: The New Day challenging The Usos for the Smackdown Tag Team Championship. Xavier Woods doesn't see Jey Uso get tagged in and gets blindsided by a super kick. The match goes back and forth with with both teams using moves from each other's arsenal. After The Usos take out all of The New Day with suicide dives, The Bludgeon Brothers come down and fuck everyone up ending the match. I thought this match was really good up until the end. Whilst the appearance of The Bludgeon Brothers has led to having them a Championship match at Wrestlemania, I would rather have a rematch between The Usos and The New Day.
Winners: No Contest (2 for 4)

The penultimate match is for the Smackdown Women's Championship as Ruby Riott challenges Charlotte Flair. Ruby's pals, Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan, make an appearance early on and this gives Ruby the advantage. Naomi and Becky Lynch come down to even the odds. The match goes back and forth before actions by Naomi, Becky, Sarah and Liv fall foul of the referee and they get sent to the back. In the end, Charlotte hits a brutal spear then gets Ruby to submit to the Figure 8 to get the win. Charlotte doesn't get long to celebrate as Asuka comes out to challenge her to a match at Wrestlemania.

The match was pretty good but the main talking point is Asuka coming back. I love Alexa Bliss but I think that Asuka facing Charlotte instead will be the better match. My only worry about is Carmella. There is no way that she is going to cash in and lose, especially after the furor over how she first won it. That, and the fact that I don't want Asuka to lose that way. Hopefully, WWE will find a way to make it work.
Winner: Charlotte Flair (3 for 5)

The main event is a Six Pack Challenge for the WWE Championship. AJ Styles will be facing the challenges of John Cena, Dolph Ziggler, Baron Corbin, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. Highlights of the match include: Cena hitting everyone but Styles with an AA in the beginning; Styles hitting Cena with the Styles Clash; Corbin hitting Styles with possibly the best Deep Six I have ever seen; and Zayn hitting Owens with a tornado DDT through the ropes. Zayn and Owens come close to winning but Shane McMahon, who was watching from ringside, decides to be a dick and stops those chances from happening. In the end, Owens hits Ziggler with a pop up powerbomb but Styles hits him with a Phenomenal Forearm to get the win. This was a good match although it was tarnished by Shane McMahon. He got accidentally kicked by Owens during the match so I can just about justify him stopping Owens from winning. However, he had no reason to do the same to Zayn. Shane is the worst person on Smackdown right now and this needs to stop doing things like this.

I thought that even though most of it felt like WWE were in a holding pattern, Fastlane was a pretty good event. We are in the final stetch before Wrestlemania and I'm quite looking forward to it.

WWE Wrestlemania 33 Review

The biggest show of the year, Wrestlemania, took place on Sunday 3rd April at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida. I'm not that excited about some of the matches but I'm interested to see how it goes so let's take a look.

There were 3 matches on the Kick Off Show and the first was for the Cruiserweight Championship as Austin Aries challenges King Neville of the Cruiserweights. Early on, Aries goes for the Last Chancery but Neville rolls out of the ring. He then gets the advantage after stopping a suicide dive. The match goes back and forth and Aries comes close with a 450 splash followed by the Last Chancery. However, Neville gouges the eye to get out of it then hits the Red Arrow to get the win. This was a really good match and I can't wait for them to have a rematch.
Winner: Neville (1 for 1)

Next is the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal with the following taking part Mojo Rawley, Apollo Crews, Big Show, Curt Hawkins, Braun Strowman, Goldust, R-Truth, Primo, Epico, Curtis Axel, Bo Dallas, Jinder Mahal, Sami Zayn, Fandango, Tyler Breeze, Dolph Ziggler, Rhyno, Heath Slater, Jason Jordan, Chad Gable, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Mark Henry, Tian Bing and Killian Dian. Strowman and Show eliminate a few of the wrestlers before Strowman eliminates Show. The remaining wrestlers team up to eliminate Strowman. The final five end up being: Rawley, Mahal, Zayn, Dian and O'Neill. Zayn eliminates O'Neill but he is eliminated by Dian. Rawley gets beaten up by Mahal before he throws a drink at Rawley's friend Ron Gronkowski of the New England Patriots. Gronk doesn't take that well and should tackles Mahal. Rawley goes on to eliminate Dian and then Mahal to win the match. This was quite fun to watch and I was surprised that Rawley. Even though I'm not a big fan of him, it will be interesting to see how it will go with him. 
Winner: Mojo Rawley (1 for 2)

The final match on the Kick Off Show was for the Intercontinental Championship as Baron Corbni challenges Dean Ambrose. Corbin is dominant very early on, sending Ambrose into the ring post and the barricades. Ambrose gets back into it and gets the win after reversing an End of Days into a Dirty Deeds. This match wasn't great, which was a shame as it had the potential to be quite good.
Winner: Dean Ambrose (1 for 3)

After an introduction by hosts The New Day, we get the first official match of Wrestlemania, which was AJ Styles taking on Shane McMahon. Styles is understandably confident, which Shane takes advantageof.; Styles sends Shane flying over the Smackdown announce table and later on, puts him in the calf killer. Sane puts Styles in a triangle choke but it's reversed into a Styles Clash for 2. Styles accidentally knocks out the ref and Shane comes close after hitting a coast to coast, sending a trash can into Styles. Shane goes to elbow Shane through the Smackdown announce table but he misses. Styles goes on to win after avoiding a shooting star press to hit the Phenomenal Forearm. This match was really enjoyable and better then I thought it would be.
Winner: AJ Styles (2 for 4)

The next match is one that I was really looking forward to: Kevin Owens challenging The Gift of Jericho for the United States Championship. The match starts at a fast pace before Owens gets the advantage. Jericho avoids a pop up powerbomb and hits a lionsault for 2. In the end, Owens hits a powerbomb onto the apron then rolls Jericho in to get the pinfall and the win. This was a really good match and I'm looking foward to their rematch at Payback.
Winner: Kevin Owens (3 for 5)

We now get the fatal 4-way elimination match as Nia Jax, Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair challenge Bayley for the RAW Women's Championship. Nia is dominant to start with but she gets ganged up on and after powerbombing her, they pile on her to get the pinfall and get eliminated. Sasha Banks gets eliminated when she gets thrown head first into an exposed turnbuckle and Charlotte pins her. Charlotte focuses on Bayley's left knee but it's not enough as Bayley hits a Macho Man elbow drop to get the win. This was a good match tho I do question the booking decision. Nothing against Bayley winning, but if he was going to win at Wrestlemania, why didn't they keep it on Charlotte til then as it would have made a great moment.
Winner: Bayley (3 for 6)

After we see the Hall of Fame Class of 2017, it is the ladder match for the RAW Tag Team Championship as Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson face the challenges of Cesaro and Sheamus and Enzo and Cass. Before the match, The New Day come out and announce an extra participant, which are The Hardy Boyz. Highlights of the match include: The Hardys going Poetry in Motion to Gallows and Anderson; Anderson pulling Enzo off the ladder into an European uppercut by Cesaro; and Jeff Hardy doing a swanton bomb, sending Cesaro through a ladder. In the end, Matt Hardy climbs up the ladder and gets the blets to win the match. This was a good match and it was nice to see The Hardys in WWE again.
Winners: The Hardy Boyz (N/A)

Next is the mixed tag team match as John Cena and Nikki Bella take on Hollywood Miz and Maryse. Pretty much. Miz and Cena do the work for 90% of this match. Miz wears down Cena but Cena eventually gets the hot tag to Nikki and she completely destroys Maryse. In the end, Cena and Nikki hit their finishing moves to get the win. Afterwards, Cena proposes to Nikki. This felt more like a house show match but it was enjoyable and congratulations to Cena and Nikki on their engagement.
Winners: John Cena and Nikki Bella (4 for 7)

Next is Seth Rollins taking on Triple H  in an unsanctioned match. Triple H during the match goes for the repaired knee and he gets the advantage with a DDT onto the German announce table. Rollins does get some offence in but, thanks to Triple H, his knee does hamper it. After some back and forth, Stephanie McMahon tries to help out but she gets accidentally put through a table by Triple H. Rollins then hits a Pedigree to get the win. This was a good match to watch and I'm interested to see where Rollins goes from here.
Winner: Seth Rollins (5 for 8)

After a musical interlude by Pitbull, Lunch Money Lewis and Flo Rida, we get the WWE Championship match as Randy Orton challenges Bray Wyatt. During the match, they were doing this weird thing when they projected things onto the ring, such as worms and cockroaches. Anyway, Orton gets a chance when he hits a RKO on the outside but later on, Wyatt hits a Sister Abigail for 2. In the end, Orton hits a RKO out of nowhere (seriously, there was nothing leading up to that moment that suggested that it was going to happen) to get the win. This match was a massive disappointment. First of all, the projections on the ring was just fucking stupid. Secondly, Orton doesn't need the title and I feel so sorry for Bray Wyatt. His Championship was probably a couple of years too late then he only gets a one month reign. I know that he has a rematch but due to the fact that he's been moved over to RAW (I'll talk about that another time), do you really think that he's going to regain his Championship?
Winner: Randy Orton (5 for 9)

The next match is for the Universal Championship as Brock Lesnar challenges Goldberg. Lesnar immediately hits 3 German suplexes then Goldberg spears him twice then spears him through a barricade. Goldberg then hits the jackhammer for 2. After Lesnar leapfrogs to avoid a spear, he hits 7 German suplexes then a F-5 to win the match. This match was a lot better than I expected it to be.
Winner: Brock Lesnar (6 for 10)

The penultimate match is a six-pack challenge for the Smackdown Women's Championship. Alexa Bliss faced the challenges of Becky Lynch, Naomi, Mickie James, Natalya and Carmella. Natalya puts Carmella and Naomi in a sharpshooter but it's stopped by Mickie. After Naomi takes out most of the field with an over the top rope splash, she goes on to make Alexa submit with the Slay-o-mission to win the match. This match was far too short, which is a shame as it could have been a good match.
Winner: Naomi (7 for 11)

The main event is Roman Reigns versus The Undertaker in a no holds barred match. The match starst with punches and kicks by both guys. Undertaker chokeslams Reigns onto the German announce table and Reigns by spearing Taker through the Spanish announce table. Taker hits a very poor last ride for 2 and later on, he hits a chokeslam onto a chair for 2. Reigns goes on to hit 4 spears to get the win. Afterwards, Undertaker puts his coat and hat in the middle of the ring and leaves.

This match, to be honest, wasn't great. There were some nice spots but they were some painfully obvious botches, such as the last ride. There are some people who feel that Undertaker should have been retired earlier. I'm not too sure about that but this match has showed that it is time for him to retire. I tell one thing, it is going to be weird next year without a Undertaker match.
Winner: Roman Reigns (8 for 12)

I thought that Wrestlemania was a mixed bag. There were some good matches but some were really disappointing. With the Superstar shake up, it will be interesting to see where things go from here.

WWE Wrestlemania 33 Preview

The Grand Daddy of them all, Wrestlemania 33 will be tkaing this evening at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida. To be honest, I'm not that hyped for a lot of matches on this card. Howvever, let's take a look anyway to see if that changes.

There are two matches on the Pre Show and one of them is for the Cruiserweight Championship as Austin Aries challenges King Neville of the Cruiserweights. I'm looking forward to this one and it's a tough one to call. I think that Neville will retain here.

The other one is the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Seth Rollins will take on Triple H in a non-sanctioned match. Due to the fact that I'm a big fan of these two, this should be a good match. I'm going for Seth to win here.

Shane McMahon will be taking on AJ Styles and I feel so sorry for Styles. He faced Jericho last year and went on to the WWE Championship. It does seem like a step back for him and I know that Shane is a good entertainer. I think that Styles will win this match.

John Cena and Nikki Bella  will be taking on Hollywood Miz and Maryse. It does feel weird that Cena is in a mixed tag match. However, this has the tendency to be a good match. I'm going for Cena and Nikki to win.

The Undertaker will take on Roman Reigns. Whilst The Undertaker has only lost once at Wrestlemania but Reigns has to win here due to the fact that WWE will be continuing to shove him down our throat.

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson will defend their RAW Tag Team Championships against Enzo and Cass and Cesaro and Sheamus in a ladder match. I feel that this is the time for Enzo and Cass to win the Championship here.

Alexa Bliss  will defend the Smackdown Women's Championship in a Six Pack Challenge match against Mickie James, Naomi, Carmella, Becky Lynch and Natalya. I think that Naomi, in her home town, will win here.

Baron Corbin will challenge Dean Ambrose for the Intercontinental Championship. I like Ambrose but I feel that Corbin will win here.

Kevin Owens will challenge The Gift of Jericho for the United States Championship and this is a match that I'm really looking forward to seeing. I'm going for Owens to win here.

Nia Jax, Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks will challenge Bayley in a fatal 4-way elimination match for the RAW Women's Championship. This is quite a tough one to call as I can see any one of them winning. I'm going for Sasha to win here with a heel turn.

Randy Orton will challenge Bray Wyatt for the WWE Championship and to be honest, I'll be really pissed if Orton wins as it proves that it's ok to burn down houses and desecrate graves if you're the good guy. I'm going for Bray to win here.

Brock Lesnar will challenge Goldberg for the Universal Championship. I really don't care about this match. I'll be very surprised if this last more than 5 minutes and I'm going for Brock to win and become Universal Champion.

WWE Wrestlemania 32 Review

The flasgship event of the WWE, Wrestlemania 32, took place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. With over 100,000 people expected to be there, will the event live to the last few Wrestlemanias? Let's take a look.

The first match on the Kick Off Show was for the United States Championship as Ryback challenges Kalisto. Ryback, who is also 120lbs heavier than Kalisto, threw him round like a rag doll for most of the match. Kalisto gets back into it after reversing a Shell Shock into a DDT. In the end, Kalisto hits a drop toe hold, sending Ryback into an exposed turnbuckle. He then hit the Salida Del Sol to get the win. I thought this was a decent match and a good way to begin the event.
Winner: Kalisto (1 for 1)

Next is the Divas Tag Team Match with Team Total Divas (Paige, Eva Marie, Alicia Fox, Natalya and Brie Bella) taking on Team B.A.D. and Blonde (Lana, Emma, Naomi, Tamina and Summer Rae). I was fully expecting this to be a clusterfuck but they got quite a decent amount of time. I was quite surprised that Paige was the one to take the beating from her opponents. However, it makes sense as both teams are a mix of faces and heels and I knew that Brie wasn't going to do it as I believed she would get the win. Anyway, Paige sends Emma into the turnbuckle giving her the chance to give the hot tag to Brie. After some chaos, Brie manages to get Naomi to submit to the Yes Lock to get the win. The match wasn't perfect with some glaring mini botches. However, I thought it was fun to watch and I was quite surprised by Eva Marie, who I think did more wrestling moves than her last 3 NXT matches combined.
Winners: Team Total Divas (2 for 2)

After we get Lita unveil the new Woman's Championship belt (about fucking time, if you ask me), we get The Usos taking on The Dudley Boyz. The Dudleys immediately go after Jimmy Uso and wear him down. Jimmy manages to tag in Jey after hitting Bubba Ray with a super kick. In the end, Jey stops the Dudleys doing a 3D and Jimmy hits a super kick on D-Von to get the win. Afterwards, the Dudleys try to powerbomb them through some tables but The Usos turned the tables and splashed them through the tables instead. I think this match was about 5 minutes, which is far too short for a tag team match. Otherwise, the match wasn't too bad.
Winners: The Usos (2 for 3)

Wrestlemania officially started with the ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship as Kevin Owens  faced the challenges of Stardust, Sin Cara 2.0, Zack Ryder, Sami Zayn, Hollywood Miz and Dolph Ziggler. Highlights of the match include: Sami and Owens fighting it out; Sami doing a suicide dive through a ladder onto his opponents then doing his dive through the turnbuckle into a tornado DDT on Owens;Stardust setting up a polka dotted ladder; Owens hitting a pop up powerbomb on The Miz; and Sami hitting an exploder suplex sending Owens onto a ladder. In the end, Miz climbs up and, thinking he's the only one left, takes decades to go for the belt. This gives Ryder the chance to push Miz off the ladder and grab the belt to win the match...? Wait, what the fuck?! Zack Ryder is the new Intercontinental Champion?! I don't think anyone saw that coming. I thought that Sami would win and feud with Owens over the title. Despite that, I'm happy that Ryder won. Shame he lost it to The Miz the following night.
Winner: Zack Ryder (2 for 4)

Next is Chris Jericho taking on AJ Styles. Like their match at Fastlane, this was another enjoyable contest; especially since we now have Heel Jericho, which is oneof my favourite things to see in wrestling. Jericho almost wins it when he avoids a springboard Superman punch and hits a codebreaker. Styles hits some big moves like the Styles Clash and the springboard 450 splash, but he can't keep Jericho down. In the end, Styles goes for the phenomenal forearm but Jericho countered it into a codebreaker to get the win.
Winner: Chris Jericho (2 for 5)

 Next is a tag team match with The New Day taking on The League of Nations (Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio and Rusev) . Woods gets beaten down by the League of Nations very early on before hitting Sheamus with a DDT in order to get the hot tag to Kofi. However, in the end, Wade Barrett, who was on the outside, hits Woods with the bull hammer followed by a Brogue Kick by Sheamus to get the win.

Afterwards, Barrett does some bragging and we get Shawn Michaels, Mick Foley and Stone Cold Steve Austin come out and destroy the League of Nations. They then briefly dance with The New Day before Stone Cold stuns Woods. They then share some beers in the ring. The match wasn't that great but it was nice to see 3 Hall of Famers in the ring.
Winners: League of Nations (2 for 6)

Next was the street fight between Brock Lesnar and Dean Ambrose. Lesnar was dominant, hitting 9 German suplexes before receiving a low blow.Ambrose used chairs, kendo sticks and a fire extinguisher. However, it was not enough as Lesnar hit 4 more suplexes followed by a F5 onto a pile of steel chairs to get the win. I thought the match was pretty decent but I felt it ended a bit too abruptly.
Winner: Brock Lesnar (3 for 7)

Next we get to honour the Hall of Fame Class of 2016: The Fabulous Freebirds, The Godfather,  The Big Boss Man, Jacqueline, Stan Hansen, Snoop Dogg, Warrior Award Winner Joan Lunden, and Sting. I thought that it was a good class this year. I was quite surprised that Godfather was inducted but the rest are thoroughly deserved, especially Sting.

Now a match that I was really looking forward to: Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch challenging Charlotte for the Divas Women's Championship. This went at quite a fast pace and Sasha had a good chance when she frog splashed Charlotte while she had Becky in the figure four. There was a great move when Charlotte had Sasha in the Figure 8 and Becky pulled Sasha out of the ring. In the end, Sasha puts Becky in the Banks Statement but Charlotte throws Sasha out of the ring and puts Becky in the Figure 8. Sasha tries to intervene but she's stopped by Ric Flair and Becky taps out, making Charlotte the winner. I really enjoyed the match and I loved the ending. Whilst I'm a fan of Becky, it looks like it will be Charlotte facing Sasha for the foreseeable future and I can't wait to see it.
Winner: Charlotte (3 for 8)

Now, possibly the most interesting match on the show: Shane McMahon taking on The Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell match. Undertaker was dominant and hit a Last Ride early on for a 2 count. Shane does get back into it for a little bit and hits a coast to coast, sending a dustbin into Tker. He then gets tackled out of the cell and gets put through the Spanish announce table. Shane tries to return the favour but he misses an elbow drop from the top of the cell and crashes through the English announce table. Undertaker then carries Shane back into the cell and hits the Tombstone to get the win.  The match was pretty decent and I would say that it was nice to see Shane do an one off. However, the next night Vince gives him control of RAW anyway. It begs the question: what was the point of the match?
Winner: The Undertaker (4 for 9)

Next is the third annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. The competitors were: Adam Rose, Baron Corbin, Big Show, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel, Damien Sandow, Darren Young, Diamond Dallas Page, Goldust, Heath Slater, Jack Swagger, Kane, Konnor,  Mark Henry, R-Truth, Shaquille O'Neal, Tatanka, Tyler Breeze and Viktor. After a little while, the final foru were: Baron Corbin, Bo Dallas, Darren Young and Kane. Kane eliminates Dallas and Young but Corbin eliminates Kane to win the match. I was very surprised that Crobin not only was in the match but went on to win it. I have been enjoying his work in NXT and hopefully it leads to a successful time on the main roster.
Winner: Baron Corbin (4 for 10)

We get a segment with The Rock announcing an attendance record gets interrupted by the Wyatt Family. It ends up being an impromptu match between The Rock and Erick Rowan, which Rock wins in 6 seconds after a Rock Bottom. When the Wyatts go to attack Rock, John Cena returns and helps to destroy the Wyatts. It was a decent little segment and whilst I'm not a fan of Cena, it was nice to see him back.
Winner: The Rock (N/A)

The main event is for the World Heavyweight Championship as Roman Reigns challenges Triple H. Triple H gets the advantage after hitting a low blow and he does a sweet move when Reigns is on top of the GErman announce table and Triple HHH hits a swinging neckbreaker.Reigns goes get back into it and hits a spear but Stephanie McMahon pulls out the referee (which is apparently, not a disqualification). Stephanie then goes into the ring to argue with the referee and gets accidentally speared by Reigns. In the end, Triple H decides to blatantly cheat and tries to use a sledgehammer. However, Reigns hits 2 Superman punches and a spear to win the match. I thought the match was ok but it was too long for my liking.
Winner: Roman Reigns (5 for 11)

I thought that Wrestlemania was a decent event. It had a few good matches and a few pleasant surprises. However, WWE seem determined to force Reigns down our throats and a lot of fans, who feel that they are more deserving wrestlers out there, are not happy about it. Hopefully, they will find a way to get Reigns over. 

WWE Wrestlemania 32 Preview

The Showcase of the Immortals, Wrestlemania 32, will be taking this evening at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas. With over 100,000 people watching, it hopes to be an amazing event. Let's look at the card and foind out.

There will be 3 matches on the Kick Off Show and the first will be The Usos taking on The Dudley Boyz.  This is a tough one to call but I'm going for the Dudleys to win here.

 The second match will be for the United States Championship as Ryback challenges Kalisto. This match depends on whether they want Kalisto to return to tag team wrestling. I don't think they will do that yet so I'm going for Kalisto to win here.

The third match will be a ten Divas tag team match will The Total Divas (Alicia Fox, Brie Bella, Eva Marie, Natalya and Paige) taking on B.A.D. and Blonde (Emma, Lana, Naomi, Tamina and Summer Rae). Due to the fact that they have some wrestlers, like Emma and Paige, and bad ones, like Naomi and Alicia Fox; I can imagine this being a two minute clusterfuck. I hope not and I'm going for Total Divas to win here.

 We have the 3rd Annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. The announced participants are: Heath Slter, Adam Rose, Curtis Axel, Bo Dallas, Kane, Big Show, Mark Henry, Tyler Breeze, Jack Swaghger, Fandango, Konnor, Viktor, Goldust, R-Truth, Darren Young and Damien Sandow. I can see a lot of these guys but I'm going completely left field and going for Damien Sandow to win.

We will be getting a 3-on-4 handicap match as The New Day will take on The League of Nations. I feel that The New Day will win here.

Now, in one of several matches that I'm looking forward to, we have AJ Styles taking on Chris Jericho. While I feel that Jericho could in it, I feel that Styles will do instead.

Another one that I'm looking forward is a ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship with Sami Zayn, Stardust, Dolph Ziggler, Zack Ryder, The Miz, Sin Cara challenging Kevin Owens. I can see either Zayn or Owens winning but I'm going for Zayn to win here.

The Divas Championship will be a triple threat match with Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks challenge Charlotte. I'm looking forward to this one and I think that Sasha will win here.

Dean Ambrose will face Brock Lesnar in a street fight. This match has the potential to be an insane match and I can see Ambrose having a chance. However, I think that Lesnar will win here.

Now, a match I'm interested in watching: Shane McMahon facing The Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell match. I can't see Shane although it would be interesting to see. I feel that Undertaker will win this.

The main event will be for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship with Roman Reigns challenging Triple H. Despite WWE's best efforts, the fans can't get into Roman Reigns. I would love Triple H to win here, I think that Reigns will win here to possibly 100,000 fans booing.

WWE Wrestlemania 31 Review

WWE Wrestlemania 31 took place on Sunday 28th March at Levi's Stadium in San Francisco. Who will get to have their Wrestlemania moment? Let's take a look

The first match on the Pre Show is a fatal 4 way match for the Tag Team Championship. Tyson Kidd and Cesaro face the challenge of The Usos, Los Matadores and Kofi Kingston and Big E from The New Day. Highlights of the match include Cesaro being a dick and throwing Jey Uso into the barrier; Cesaro and Kidd doing the giant swing into a dropkick on Kofi, and a superplex involving all the competitors. In the end, Jimmy Uso hits a frogsplash on Big E but doesn't notice Cesaro tagging him. Cesaro throws him out and pins Big E to get the win. This match was so much fun to watch and I'm really liking Kidd and Cesaro as Champions.

The second match on the Pre Show was the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. The competitors were: Curtis Axel, Adam Rose, Big Show, Fandango, Alex Riley, Zack Ryder, Bo Dallas, Hideo Itami, Diego, Fernando, Sin Cara Version 2, Tyson Kidd, Mark Henry, Konnor, Viktor, Darren Young, Heath Slater, Titus O'Neill, Jack Swagger, Big E, Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, Erick Rowan, Goldust, Corporate Kane, Jimmy Uso, Cesaro, Ryback, Hollywood Miz and Damien Mizdow. At the beginning, Curtis Axel gets eliminated straight away by all the wrestlers. Other notable eliminations include: Itami getting eliminated thanks to a KO punch by Show; Ryback eliminating O'Neill with a German suplex; and Big Show eliminating all of The New Day. The final five were Cesaro, Mizdow, Miz, Big Show and Ryback. Cesaro tries to eliminate Show but it's reversed and he gets eliminated instead. Show then eliminates Ryback. Miz tries to get Mizdow to team up on Show but Mizdow refuses and eliminates Miz. Mizdow takes it to Show but it's all in vain as he gets eliminated and the Big Show wins. I really enjoyed the match but I feel that it should have been on the main card.

The first match on the actual show was a ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship. Bad News Barrett faced the challenges of Daniel Bryan, Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, Stardust, Luke Harper and R-Truth. In the beginning, you get everyone doing variations of a suicide dive on each other. Highlights of the match include: Bryan hanging Harper off the ladder and hitting him with kicks; Stardust bringing out a gold dust covered ladder; R-Truth hitting a scissor kick sending Harper's head onto a ladder; Harper powerbombing Ambrose through a ladder; and Barrett hitting Ziggler, Stardust and R-Truth with bullhammers. In the end, Bryan and Ziggler are on top of a ladder exchanging headbutts. Ziggler falls out and Bryan gets the belt and wins. I generally like ladder matches and this one didn't disappoint. A great way to start Wrestlemania.

Next was Randy Orton taking on Mr Money in the Bank Seth Rollins with J&J Security. Orton goes for an early RKO but Rollins rolls away. Later on, Orton hits a double hanging DDT on J&J Security on the floor but this gives Rollins the opportunity to hit a suicide dive. The match goes back and forth with Orton countering a curb stomp into a powerslam and Rollins hitting a springboard moonsault to the outside. Rollins manages to kick out of a RKO then hits a curb stomp for 2. In the end, Rollins goes for another curb stomp but it's countered into the possibly the best RKO ever for Orton to get the win. I really enjoyed this match and it had a great ending.

Now a match that I'm looking forward to: Sting taking on Triple H. A quick word about the entrances. Sting comes out to a traditional Japanese band. Triple H on the ther hand, fuck me. He comes out with Terminators, shamelessly plugging the upcoming film. Terminator Genisys.it was cool but it seemed to be too over the top.

Quite early on, we get to see a basic technical match, which was nice to see. Sting misses a Stinger splash to give Triple H the advantage. Sting gets back into it and applies a very poor Scorpion deathlock. Suddenly, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and X-Pac from D-Generation X run down. Sting deals with them but he gets with a Pedigree for 2. Triple H gets a sledgehammer then suddenly, the nWo turn up to help Sting, which was weird considering the wars they had with him. Sting hits a Scorpion death drop for 2 then applies another Scorpion deathlock. Suddenly (I seem to writing that word a lot) Shawn Michaels hits the Sweet Chin Music on Sting to break it up. Triple H gets the sledgehammer and Scott Hall gives Sting a baseball bat. Sting manages to break the sledgehammer handle in half then hits a Stinger splash. However, when he goes for another one, Triple H hits him with the sledgehammer and pins him to get the win. Afterwards, the shake hands.

This was quite a fun match. I thought it would degenerate into a clusterfuck when DX and the nWo made their way down. However, it seemed to work. Even though Triple H is my favourite wrestler, I feel that Sting should have won this match. I suppose that even though WWE bought out WCW over 14 years ago, they still want to rub in the fact that they won the Monday Night Wars, and that's a shame; and maybe a bit sad.
Winner: Triple H

After a mini concert involving Skylar Grey and Kid Ink, we get AJ Lee and Paige taking on The Bella Twins. Nikki gets the advantage early on with an Alabama Slam to Paige after she knocks AJ off the apron. The Bellas keep beating on Paige while keeping AJ down. Nikki almost wins with a Rack Attack for 2. AJ eventually recovers and gets tagged in. After some back and forth, AJ manages to apply the Black Widow on Nikki, and she taps out giving AJ and Page the win. I thought it was quite a good match and it was nice to see the Bellas continue to improve. Since then< AJ Lee has retired from in-ring competiton. It's a shame really because she has been a breath of fresh air in the Divas Division. She will be sorely missed.

 After we get to see the Hall of Fame Class of 2015, we get the United States Championship with John Cena challenging Rusev. Rusev's entrance was amazing. Lana comes out with a Russian honour guard to the Russian national anthem. Rusev then comes out on top of a fucking tank. Cena's entrance was about how great the USA is. It was fine but it wasn't as good as arriving on a fucking tank.Rusev show his impressive strength early on and takes his time to gloat holding the Russian flag. Cena gets back into it with a top rope legdrop to the back of Rusev;s head for 2. Later on, Cena applies the STF but Rusev gets to the ropes. Rusev then does a flying headbutt for 2 and then applies the Accolade for seems like decades. Cena manages to stand up and send Rusev into the turnbuckle to get out of it. Cena then goes for the STF and Lana goes to distract the ref. Cena goes towards her and Rusev attacks him from behind. However, he hits Lana instead and Cena hits the AA to get the win. Afterwards, Rusev screams at Lana. This was another good match, although it is weird seeing Cena as the United States Champion.

After a segment involving Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, The Rock and Ronda Rousey, we get Undertaker taking on Bray Wyatt. Undertaker his classic moves early on such as Old School and Snake Eyes. Wyatt gets to wear down Undertaker, despite being briefly put in the Hell's Gate. Wyatt goes for the Sister Abigail but it's reversed into a chokeslam then a tombstone for 2. Undertaker goes for another tombstone but Wyatt reverses it into a Sister Abigail for 2. There was a cool bit when Wyatt does his crab walk and Undertaker responds with his sit up, shocking Wyatt. In the end, Wyatt goes for another Sister Abigail. However, Undertaker gets out of it and hits a 2nd tombstone to get the win. It was a good match and it was good to see Undertaker wrestle again.

The main event was for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship with the Royal Rumble winner Roman Reigns challenge Brock Lesnar. In the 1st minute of the match, Lesnar hits a German suplex and a F5. Lesnar then takes Reigns to Suplex City as he hits a back suplex, 6 German suplexes, a snap suplex sending Reigns out of the ring, and a brutal overhead belly-to-belly suplex sending Reigns back into the ring. Lesnar then hits a second F5 for 2. Lesnar then sends Reigns to Bitch Slap City with continual slaps followed by 3 German suplexes and a 3rd F5. Reigns surprisingly kicks out at 2.5, pissing Lesnar off. He sends Reigns to the outside and tries to push him into the ring post. However, Reigns reverses it, busting Lesnar open. Reigns then throws everything at Lesnar with 3 Superman punches and 2 spears, but it only gets 2. Reigns goes for another Superman punch but Lesnar manages to hit a fourth F5, sending both men down.

Suddenly, Seth Rollins, inspired by Edge's manual "How to be the Ultimate Opportunist", runs down and cashes in his MITB briefcase. This now makes it a triple threat match. He pushes Reigns out of the ring and curb stomps Lesnar. Rollins goes for another one but Lesnar picks him up for a F5. Reigns slides in and spears Lesnar and this gives Rollins the chance to curb stomp Reigns and pin him, becoming the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

I really enjoyed this match. I still don't think that Reigns is ready to be a World Champion but he did well here. Rollins cashing in was a master stroke by the WWE and very few people expected that. As for Lesnar, he tried to have a rematch with Rollins the next day. However, Rollins flees and Lesnar decides to destroy everyone, including F5-ing Michael Cole, earning him a suspension. I look forward to hopefully a long Championship reign by Rollins.

I quite enjoyed Wrestlemania. I enjoyed the matches and it was entertaining. The only is that I wish there were more matches. Wrestlemania is a four hour show and it should have more than 7 matches on the card. It seemed weird that it had less matches that what they would normally have for a 3 hour PPV. Anyway, despite that, it was enjoyable and I highly recommend it.

WWE Wrestlemania 31 Preview

The showcase of the immortals, Wrestlemania 31, takes place this Sunday at the Levi's Stadium in San Francisco, California. Some of the card looks pretty good; the rest not so much. Let's take a look.

 We get two matches on the Pre Show. The first in a fatal 4-way match for the Tag Team Championships. Tyson Kidd and Cesaro will defend their titles against The Usos, The New Day and Los Matadores. This is a tough one to call but I think Kidd and Cesaro will win here.

The other match on the Pre Show is the second Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. The announced participants are Hollywood Miz, Curtis Axel, Ryback, Fandango, Adam Rose, Zack Ryder, Jack Swagger, Titus O'Neil, Darren Young, Big Show, Corporate Kane, Erick Rowan, Damien Mizdow, Sin Cara Version 2, Goldust, Heath Slater, Mark Henry, Konnor, Viktor and Hideo Itami from NXT. There are so many to choose from but I have a feeling that Damien Mizdow will win this one.

AJ Lee and Paige will face The Bella Twins in a Divas tag team match. This has the ability to be  good match if they're given a chance. I'm going for AJ Lee and Paige to win here.

The Intercontinental Championship will be defended in a ladder match with Bad News Barrett facing the challenges of R-Truth, Dean Ambrose, Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, Luke Harper and Stardust. I'm quite looking forward to this match and anyone could win it (except for R-Truth). I'm going for Dean Ambrose to win here.

Randy Orton will take on Seth Rollins in what could be a good match. I think that, despite the inevitable intervention of Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble, Randy Orton will get the win.

The United States Championship will be on the line as John Cena (yes, you read that right) challenges Rusev. I would love Rusev to win here but he's facing John Cena for fucks sake. I'll be an idiot if I think that Cena won't win here.

The Undertaker makes his return to face Bray Wyatt. It does seem so weird that this isn't a Streak match but I think that this could be a good match. I'm going for Undertaker to win here.

We get to see history made as Sting has his first WWE match against Triple H. This is the match that I'm most looking forward to and I feel that it will be a good match. Sting will definitely win this, otherwise what was the point?

This is match that I'm not really looking forward to: Roman Reigns challenging Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. I'm with the majority of fans who feel that Roman Reigns is not ready for this position. WWE has tried to force it down our throats but for me, it's not working. Despite that, I think that Reigns will win here. However, I will be the happiest man in the world if Seth Rollins cashes it in afterwards or the following day.
