WWE Payback 2013 Preview

The inaugural WWE Payback will be taking place at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois. There are 7 matches on the card and one pre-show match and all the Championships are on the line. Let's look at the card.

The pre-show match will be between Damien Sandow and Sheamus.  Due to the fact that it's a pre-show match, it will be probably no more than 5 minutes. Whilst I would love Sandow to win, it's more likely that Sheamus will brogue kick his way to victory.
Predicted Winner: Sheamus

The Intercontinental Championship will be on the line in a triple threat match as Curtis Axel and The Miz challenge Wade Barrett. This match could go either way as a lot of people think that Fandango will be the next Champion. However, his concussion makes that an impossibility for now. I think that they will go another direction for now and Curtis Axel will be the new Intercontinental Champion.
Predicted Winner: Curtis Axel

The Divas Championship will be on the line as AJ finally challenges Kaitlyn  in what has the potential to be a very good match. For the first time in ages, the Divas Championship has a story going into it as we finally see the Chickbusters explode. This has slowly brewing since AJ twice slapped Kaitlyn into the following week last year. They have been best friends since NXT season 3 and they are both very capable wrestlers. The question is whether WWE will give them the appropriate amount of time for this match. I think that it's time for AJ to have a run as Divas Champion.
Predicted Winner: AJ

The Tag Team Championships will be defended as the team of Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton challenge The Shield. I'm quite looking forward to this match although I don't think that Bryan and Orton will win here. I believe that The Shield will win and Bryan will continue thinking that he is the weak link.
Predicted Winners: The Shield

The United States Championship are on the line as Kane challenges Dean Ambrose. This could go in an interesting direction if Kane wins and it could reinforce Bryan's belief of him being the weak link. However, I don't think that will happen and I believe that Ambrose will retain here.

CM Punk will take on Chris Jericho in what could be a very good match. Due to the fact that Paul Heyman accepted Jericho's challenge without Punk approving it means it could go in quite a few directions. I think that Punk will have the match and defeat Jericho. Whether it means a face turn for Punk, only time will tell.
Predicted Winner: CM Punk

Dolph Ziggler has recovered from his Jack Swagger-induced concussion to take on Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship. I honestly can't see Del Rio winning this so I'm going for Ziggler to win here.
Predicted Winner: Dolph Ziggler

The main event will be a three stages of hell match for the WWE Championship between Ryback and John Cena. The three stages will be a lumberjack match (er,ok), a tables match and an ambulance match. I have actually enjoyed Ryback as a heel and it will be interesting to see him as WWE Champion. However, WWE will probably make Cena go through his Super Cena phase and defeat Ryback.
Predicted Winner: John Cena

I'm still behind on my PPV reviews so I hope to catch up over the next two weeks. I hope you guys enjoy the show.
